VP hopes Germany can regain share in Irans market

TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi said on Saturday that Tehran expects Germany can regain its share in Iranian market after the positive developments in talks over Iran's nuclear energy program.
Before economic sanctions imposed on Iran by the West, Germany was one of Irans major trade partners and enjoyed a great share of the Iranian market.

In recent years, Germany has lost its place in the market of our country, and given progresses made in nuclear negotiations (between Tehran and world powers), it is expected that Germany can regain its previous position in Irans economy, the Iranian vice president said.

She made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Vice Speaker of Germanys Parliament Claudia Roth here in Tehran.

Negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UNSC members plus Germany) aim to hammer out a final agreement to end more than a decade of impasse over Tehrans peaceful nuclear program.

During the nuclear negotiations, Germany, as one of the (negotiating) parties, had a good cooperation with Iran, she added.

Elsewhere in her remarks, the Iranian official also raised concern over growing violence in the region and the world, specially against women and children, and called for the international efforts to remove the grounds for the spread of violence against women and children.

At the meeting , the German official said that the progress in nuclear negotiations would be a success for Iran, Germany, and even the Europe.

Only one step left to reach final result, Roth stressed.
